Privacy Policy

Effective September 1, 2026. This policy explains what personal information Tickana collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Overview

Tickana (“Tickana,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a marketplace for discovering, buying, selling, and attending live events. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you. It applies to Tickana's website, mobile apps, and related services (together, the “Services”).

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, password, and location details you provide when you register or update your profile.
  • Payment and billing information: billing address and payment details processed through our payment providers (such as Stripe and PayPal). Tickana does not store full card numbers on our own servers.
  • Transaction information: details about tickets you buy or sell, including event, price, and seat information.
  • Communications: messages you send our support team, survey responses, and anything else you choose to share with us.

Information We Collect Automatically

  • Usage data: pages viewed, features used, search queries, and referring or exit pages.
  • Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and access times.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 5 below.

Information From Other Sources

  • Event organizers and venues, when they share attendee information for events you've registered for.
  • Service providers who help us verify identity, prevent fraud, or process payments.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and maintain your account;
  • Process ticket purchases, resale listings, and payments;
  • Deliver tickets and send order confirmations, reminders, and updates about events you're attending;
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries;
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • Personalize content and recommend events we think you'll be interested in;
  • Send marketing communications, where permitted, and let you manage your preferences;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only as described here:

  • With event organizers, so they can manage entry and comply with their own legal obligations for the event you're attending;
  • With service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as payment processing, hosting, analytics, customer support, and fraud prevention;
  • With other users, in limited circumstances — for example, if you list a ticket for resale, a buyer may see your first name and listing details, but not your full contact information;
  • For legal reasons, if required to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tickana, our users, or the public;
  • In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality arrangements;
  • With your consent, for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we collect the information.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Depending on where you live, some of the sharing described above may be considered a “sale” or “share” under applicable law — see Section 7 for your rights.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Tickana and our service providers use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, understand how the Services are used, and measure the effectiveness of our marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect how parts of the Services work.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Transaction records are generally retained for the period required by tax and accounting laws.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate information;
  • Delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing;
  • Port your information to another service;
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising;
  • Withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@tickana.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing your request. Residents of California, the EEA/UK, and other jurisdictions with specific privacy laws may have additional rights under those laws — contact us for details specific to your location.

8. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

10. International Data Transfers

Tickana is based in the United States, and information we collect may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the effective date, and, where required, by additional notice.
